Armstrong Eagles are flying high and ready for MAP 2013

EEat a good breakfast. GGo to bed early and rest. AArrive to school on time. RRead and follow all directions. UUse good test taking strategies that we have been taught. WWork hard and never get frustrated. CCheck our work and go back to the text. UUse all the tools we have learned all year.

 We will show everyone who we are and what we do best which is succeed.  We strive to be the best and we take pride in our learning and hard work.  We are Armstrong and we have something to prove.

 Parent notes will be shared with students during testing.  Staff notes will be given to students during testing.  Buddy classes will pump up and motivate each other.  MAP Pep Rally will be held prior to testing.  Student recognition meetings will be held.  Lessons to prepare our students have been taught.

 Weekly communication will be shared with our parents and community through e-blasts, teacher websites, and school newsletters.  Weekly tips will be shared to show parents how students will be tested on the MAP  IBD lesson planning is used to strengthen student understanding. Homework packets will be used to help students at home based on IBD lessons.

 2012 Proficient and Advanced students will be recognized at the MAP pep rally.  Students scoring at proficiency on eValuate this year will be recognized at the MAP pep rally.  Students showing large gains on eValuate will be recognized at the MAP pep rally.  Every Friday, class recognition for achievement is held at morning meeting.  Achievement acknowledgement is held at lunch and in classrooms weekly.  End of MAP testing Celebration will be held at the conclusion of the testing sessions. How do recognize our Eagle achievements?

 Motivational letters – Parent notes due April 16 th, staff notes due April 19 th, and Buddy notes due April 23 rd.  Buddy posters due April 9 th.  MAP Pep Rally – April 12 th  Testing is April 16 th – May 2 nd  End of MAP testing celebration – May 3 rd.
