3  An English Reading Test  An English Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling Test  A Mental Maths Test  A Mathematics Test (2 Papers)  Double these for Level 6 Students!

6  Writing is still teacher assessed (Externally moderated last year)  SPaG tests (introduced 2 years ago)  Reading 3-4 texts (1 hour)  Level 6 tests for selected pupils – Who do we choose?

7  Maths  Reading  SPaG  The National Average for a year 6 child is to achieve Level 4.  Achieving Level 5 is above average.  Level 6 is accessing the Level 6 Curriculum (which we have taught)

8  Covered year 6 units  Revised learning from previous years  Worked on individual targets  Received feedback on progress from teachers.  Become more independent to direct own learning.  Worked on exam techniques and timed conditions.  Had focused interventions like booster classes, intervention teaching & Level 6 Teaching.

9  Make Up a Revision Timetable for the Easter holidays.  Ensure you help set up a quiet area of your home for your child to study.  They will need: Lined paper, Colour mind map pens, pencil and pen.  Study Guides and access to PC internet will help.  Ensure they revise everyday for an hour or so.  Give them timed tests weekly – many online.

10 On the week of 11 th May 2015  Prepare for mornings  Early to bed  Breakfast in the morning  Snack for playtime & bottle of water and tissues if needed.  Reduce anxiety and help your children think positive.  Relaxation after a long school day.  If you want your child to revise, make up revision cards, for short bursts of revising.

11  All equipment will be provided (pencil cases not used during tests)  Some children will be doing tests in hall, others in classrooms.  As there are strict rules to administration of tests, children cannot communicate during tests and timings are adhered to.
