Zara Solar, Tanzania Entrepreneur: Mohammed Parpia In 2006, E+Co provided a $200,000 loan to Mohammed Parpia to launch Zara Solar. Mwanza, Tanzania has a very low 5.9% electrification rate with no plans for national grid extension. Zara Solar now serves over 20,000 households in six regions.
