The Old Testament prophets foretold that He would reign on David’s throne

Isaiah prophesied… For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

7 Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. --Is 9:6-7

So what if… …Israel had not sold Joseph into slavary? – Would they have spared themselves of the 400 years of bondage in Egypt? …Israel had not demanded a king like the other nations had? – Would they have enjoyed the loving rule of God? …The Jews in Jesus’ day would have accepted Him as their own king instead of trying to make Him king over the Romans? – Would there have been peace on earth? …We would accept Him as our King early in life?

A great foundation Godly parents and a stable home The influence of the Church Evidence of the “sinful nature” More than just temptation The Surrender to Jesus as Lord early in life. Spared the damage because of Christ’s righteous reign

Solomon wrote… Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, “I find no pleasure in them” --Ec 12:1
