CHAOS First, there was nothing but confusion…..

Many versions exist, but generally speaking, out of Chaos, emerged 2 beings…

Gaea and Uranus have many children, but the twelve most important were called the TITANS

From Gaea and Uranus Also emerged Monsters like… Giants (Hecatonchires) Who had 100 hands and 50 heads AND 3 Cyclops (one-eyed monsters)

Now, Uranus hated all of the children, but especially the monsters…and these he sent to Tartarus (the Underworld).

Gaea asked the Titans to rescue the monsters, but only Cronus agreed to help…. and he overthrew his father…

Cronus (now the ruler of the earth) and Rhea were married and had 6 children…..

Cronus & Rhea had Hestia Demeter Hera Hades Poseidon Zeus 3 daughters and 3 sons

Cronus now feared that his own children would destroy him…so he swallowed all of them but Zeus, who escaped.

When Zeus grew up, he and Rhea waged war on Cronus and Cronus “disgorged” his children…yes, it means vomited ! Cronus was defeated and Zeus divided the world with his brothers and sisters.
