2 Ancient Greek Beliefs The ancient Greeks believed in many gods. What is the belief in many gods called? Polytheism!

5 Ancient Greece Gods and Goddesses Ancient Greek religion tried to explain how the world began. Mother earth created the titans. World was in chaos. Zeus fought and defeted titans and became the king of gods. Gods lived in Mount Olympus.

7 Mythology It helped to explain why things happened the way they did. They featured gods and goddesses It explained events in nature. It explained why certain behavior was good or bad. It taught social lessons.
