 Basic text notes with simple formatting through keyboard shortcuts.  Can change colors of the notes by right-clicking.  Saved on the desktop for users.

 Basic screenshot tool.  Rectangular, freeform, or window capture.  Basic annotation with pen or highlighter  Screenshots can be copied or saved.

 Includes standard and scientific calculator.  Also includes a units conversion tool.

 Solves complex and simple equations step-by-step.  Includes graphing calculator.

 Stretch bands around the pegs.  Includes ability to rotate, add grid, fill shapes, etc.  Screenshot can be used to save work.

 Take pictures or videos with built-in camera.  Includes basic editing tools.  Scroll from left to right to view camera roll.  Camera roll is also available in the Pictures folder.  Swipe up for options.

 Basic video capture and editing for short videos (60 seconds or less)  Music tracks and captions can be added.  Finished movies are saved to the Pictures folder.

 Basic audio recording and editing.  Finished recordings are saved in a program folder. See directions on our wiki for “Finding Your Audio Files.”

 Similar to PhotoStory, Wixie, or PowerPoint using pictures, captions, music, and narration.  Photos and audio need to already be saved to a folder, narration can be recorded in the app.  No transitions/animations.  Export the story as a Kids Story Builder file or a PowerPoint show.  Limit of three stories and 30 slides

 Painting app complete with realistic tools, palette, and effects.  Turn photos into paintings.  Save files onto computer (Pictures folder) or Print.  Coloring pages and activities are not available because of filter.

 Create games via a simple visual programming language.  Additional resources online include classroom toolkits, tutorials, challenges, and community creations.  Best for ages 8 and up.

 Access the standards anytime, anywhere.  Includes resources for understanding the standards.  Pin a specific standard set to the start screen by right-clicking or swiping up.

 Basic map tool.  Satellite, road, and traffic maps available.  Sites can be searched for and pinned.  Can retrieve directions.

 Includes stock market data and financial news.  Also includes a currency converter, mortgage calculator, and other financial tools.

 World news (from reputable sources, but not filtered).  News sources and categories can be selected by the individual user.

 Weather forecast for searchable locations.  Also includes maps and historic temperature and daylight data.  World weather map gives a quick snapshot around the world.

 Reads word aloud.  Includes definition, synonyms, and usage.  Features word of the day, quote of the day, article of the day, this day in history, today’s holiday, today’s birthday, and vocabulary games.  Sources include dictionary, thesaurus, encyclopedia, and translation.  Words can be bookmarked.

 Scan QR codes.  Create QR codes for basic text, URLs, address, or social media by swiping up from bottom.

 Set alarms, timers, and stopwatches.  Multiple alarms and timers can be going at once.

App Smashing! “Spin” the randomizers and generate a scenario for how all three would be used in a lesson! (You must click “Randomize” on each one. No cheating!)
