Introduction Introduction The majority of the elements on the periodic table are metals. There are numerous applications of metals all around us but for students there is often a disconnect between their use and how we obtain these essential resources. Considering Utah has a variety of metal resources this is also a locally relevant topic. The goal of this document is to identify some basic processes that might enrich students understanding of metals.
