DINNER

DINNER MEALS Earlier Americans preferred to eat dinner between 6-7pm but the trend is different now. This is the biggest meal of the day and usually consists of meat (or other protein)‏

CONTENTS OF THE DINNER An ideal healthy dinner is supposed to be consisting of one third Meat, one third Veggies, and one third Carbohydrates. MEAT options:  Chicken  Ham  Turkey  Steak  Lamb

 DIFFERENT CUISINES o Burritos  o Fajitas o Quesadillas o Chalupas o Tacos o Nachos

THAI  Rice  Some chicken or cashew chicken or ginger chicken.  Or there something called as Tofu which is very similar to Paneer in India.  Different entrée (Barbecued Pork Ribs ) with steak and some veggies. Some calorie conscious people prefer to just have some salad with a little meat and some dressing on it. Then they have some dessert like ice creams or some cheese cakes or some apple pies.

If they decide to eat outside they’ll go for either: · Mexican ( like tacos, chalupas, fajitas) · Mediterranean (like falafel) · Italian (like pastas, pizzas) · Thai (like rice and chicken, or pepper steak) · Chinese (like kung pao chicken) · Or just mixed American restaurants which serve a mix of all of the above.

VEGETABLES options:  Lettuce  Peppers  Mushrooms  Tomatoes  Onions  Potatoes  Corn  Zucchini  Broccoli (Americans love broccoli)‏  Bamboo shoots

Americans tend to prefer large quantities of beverages. Many Americans tend to drink soft drinks with their meals although a lot of parents insist on milk. Although in restaurants these contain a significant volume of ice. DRINKING HABITS

COFFEE Americans consume, on average, more than eight ounces of coffee a day, which translates into more than a large cup of coffee a day, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Americans generally have black coffee.

BEFORE MEAL DRINKS….

Light & smooth cocktails are some personal favorites that are perfect to serve before a dinner party.

KINDS OF COCKTAILS o Martini oGin oManhattan oNegroni oCampani

FEW DRINKS THEY USUALLY PREFER AFTER THE MEAL…

Drinks At meals Beer rules the lunch. Cocktails and wine dominate the dinner.
