It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge. -Albert Einstein The Language Arts classroom is a place where students will be both exposed to enriching communication tools and encouraged to assimilate these tools into their personal style of communication.

Cultivate an appreciation for novels… Exploring how literature relates to their world Enhance clarity and voice in written communication … Analyzing and practicing the components of writing through genre based units Strengthen comprehension of literature… Applying comprehension strategies to various genres of literature Understand the building blocks of the English language… Providing practice incorporating grammar into writing Take ownership of vocabulary development… Using new words in written and oral expression Create an open forum for self-expression Sharing view points and opinions with classmate through a Grade-Level Blog Attain an intrinsic love of continuous learning!
