Peggy Sue Dismuke Hello everyone, my names is Peggy Dismuke. I have been married for 19 years to my husband Jim and I have two great kids, Kelly 9 and Jimmy 14. I was born in Hollandale, Mississippi and married in Montgomery, Alabama. I moved to Alabama to marry my husband and so he could be with his grandmother. She die shortly after we got marry. We still to take care of his grandfather with Alzheimer. After he passed away we moved back to Mississippi to be closer to my family. The 1 st of August will make a year since the passing of my dad.

I have completed my BA in Social Science with Education Concentration and my MA in Teaching and Learning with Technology. I have decided to continue educating myself to give myself many options and opportunities to make a better life for my family. I also want my children to see and understand how important it is to get an education in this day and time and it’s never too late to persuade a dream. My family would describe me as a old mother hen and my mom would say I am her business woman. I love to sing, make crafts, and write poems.

My goal is to build onto my understanding and knowledge with this course and degree program in order to be the best teacher I can be. My long term goal is to become a teacher. With both my BA and two Masters degrees, I will have the tools to help my students develop to their full potential.

I work at Wal-Mart right now and sometimes when I am able, I substitute teach. When I grow up I want to be an elementary teacher and I am coming so close to my long term goal. I don’t really have any hobbies but I like to play computer games. I also love spending time with my kids. There is really no one food I would eat, I would just be happy just to have some food.

Belief About Education I believe if we point students the right way they will try to go, but if we show the them right way they will follow. Just pointing the way is not enough, it is important for them to see.
