2   I am 28 years old and a wife and mother.  I worked for Sprint. Right now I am a stay at home mom and student.  I am working towards my Masters in Early Childhood education. I just finished my BA in Early Childhood education.  I live in Las Vegas NV (no I don’t gamble I cant afford it)  I grew up as a Navy brat over seas mainly in Taiwan. Short Biography

3 I married Eric Wenzke seven years ago 2006 We got married on Friday October 13 th at night in the rain in Las Vegas. I started planning a wedding, and realized I don’t care about it. I don’t care who likes chicken or fish, and what was most important was my husband and I. So we went with our parents and got married. I liked all the things that were considered bad luck I think it means good luck for us.

4  Emily and Becky Emily Audrey Wenzke My oldest daughter, and she is 6 years old going on 16. She is basically me shrunk down, which of course means we fight a lot. She is way to smart for her own good and will do great in life. Rebecca Marie Wenzke Four years old and a mini version of her father. She is the quite watchful child who always comes out on top, and has issues with thinking she is to cute to clean her room.

6  Interests  In high school I started watching Star Trek and my love of Science fiction has only grown. I like all the Star trek versions but mainly Voyager.  I have sensed moved on to Dr Who and thanks to my girls My Little Pony. I am not a big fan but it allows me to connect with my kids.

7  Schools  I am a navy brat. I was born in New York, and shortly after moved to Egypt. Four years after we came back and went to California and then moved to Taiwan. I graduated high school overseas which gives me a different point of view then most people my age.

8  Future The reason I have started going to school and adding to my education is to become a preschool teacher. I want to either work as a preschool teacher or work together with other teachers and create my own preschool. Currently I am acting as learning coach for my daughter Emily in Kindergarten. So I am getting experience working with her and teaching.

9  MAED Program Learning Outcome Many of the outcomes are things that I want to be able to do, or believe that I will be pretty good at. To pick one I chose: Design appropriate and challenging learning experiences informed by analysis of how learners develop individually across the cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional, and physical patterns to promote student learning and growth; I believe that it is important to make sure the lessons are tailored to meet the students needs and to make sure that when they are at school they are learning all the valuable skills that they need to be productive citizens in the world. That is what I want to do. I want to help teach students to start out their school careers and to enjoy learning!

10  My understanding of assessments Assessments are how students show their level of knowledge of the lesson to their teacher. It is also how a teacher can assess where a student is at and if they need any further help or extra work. Assessments are important because we need to make sure that students are meeting the goals of the curriculum.

11  I just finished getting my BA from Ashford university. I want to in the future be a preschool teacher, or possibly have my own preschool. I decided to go on to get a masters, because it will give me a step up from other teachers. If I want to stand out from others and get a job then I believe having a masters will help. Plus I am the first in my family to graduate college, and definitely the first to even try for a masters. Why am I trying to get a masters?
