Important observations Some PCAs difficult to reach, refuse to provide info Disparity across provinces regarding functioning of PCAs – some PCAs meet regularly and reps get regular communications – Others have not met since 2010 Children’s sector not visible & involved enough in these processes. “There is no such a sector that we are aware of in this province” District AIDS Councils - children’s sector often absent Insufficient capacity to consult adequately.

Discussion points How can the children’s sector makes itself more visible, and ensure representation at district and provincial level? What communication channels are needed from sector reps on PCAs to the Yezingane Network and SANAC? How can PCAs be supported to function more effectively?

National input Submission invited to Draft Zero of NSP Children’s Sector technical input covering range of key issues 31 recommendations formulated around NSP ‘vision’ – what do these mean for children? – Know you Status – Prevention – Health and wellness – Safety and reducing vulnerability – Changing norms and social values
