Reduce Solid Waste Minimize unnecessary consumption:  Cut paper use in half by duplexing – printing or copying on both sides.  Don’t print s or other documents you won’t really need on paper.  Avoid excess packaging.  Bring your own bags and buy in bulk.  Drink tap water  Bring reusable shopping bags.  At mealtimes, use reusable items like mugs, cups, utensils, cloth napkins & towels rather than disposables. J EFFERSON C OMMUNITY & T ECHNICAL C OLLEGE REQUESTS THAT NO S TYROFOAM PRODUCTS ARE USED AT MEETINGS AND EVENTS. P LEASE CONSIDER ALTERNATIVES, SUCH AS PAPER, CARDBOARD, OR SIMILAR RECYCLABLE / BIODEGRADABLE ITEMS.

Single Stream Recycling Your current office garbage can has become your recycling bin. Everything but restroom waste, food, and Styrofoam will now be recycled from that one container.  You will now use a mini bin for your true waste. Simply take your mini bin to a centrally located ‘true trash’ can or the nearest restroom and dump it when you have true trash.  Your current office garbage can is now your recycling bin.  Everything but restroom waste, food, and Styrofoam will now be recycled from that one container.  Please educate your students about this process. We need their help too.  Other recycling items: Batteries and Toner cartridges – Steve Schiller Ink jet cartridges – Pamela Dumm
