Tools we used for inspecting brake pads, measuring disc brakes, and bleeding the hydraulic clutch system. SAFETY GLASSES: SAFETY GLASSES: TO BE SAFE WHILE WORKING IN THE SHOP. Lug Wrench Lug Wrench : TO REMOVE THE LUG NUTS THAT ARE ON THE RIM THAT HOLDS THE TIRE. Socket: 15 mm Micrometer: to measure brake disc widths Ratchet: to loose and take out bolts Open Wrench: ¼ (one-fourth) Brake bleed bottle: to get all fluid coming by bleeding the clutch

Spring Centering cone Bell clamp (2) Double tapered collet (2) Vented rotor silencer Retaining nut Tools we used for lathing the disc brake

WE USE A LUG WRENCH SIZE 21 TO REMOVE THE LUG NUTS THAT ARE ON THE WHEELS.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO USE BOTH HANDS TO PUT DOWN THE TIRES AFTER ALL LUG NUTS ARE REMOVED. COUNTER CLOCKWISE IT’S THE BEST WAY TO KNOW WHAT DIRECTION TO GO WHILE REMOVING THE LUG NUTS.

By finding out which socket size we needed to use to remove the bolts holding the caliper.

We used the ratchet with a 15mm socket in order to take off the bolts that were holding the caliper to the disc brake.

After using the wrench to take the lock, we put it up next to the disk brake, so we can take off the brake pads.

Easy to remove it, THE PADS WERE SUCCESSFULLY OUT.

It was 0.430in

First we put a bell clamp, and then the disc brake with the hub facing outside. Later you place the centering cone with the small side facing the hub, and the spring inside the cone. Then you put the other bell clamp with the widest side facing the Spring. After that, you place the Double tapered collets until you reach the very end of the tube. And finally you put On the last adapter, by spinning it to the left.

Don’t forget to always put on the vented rotor silencer! This is practically how it may look at the end. And this is how it looked before.

Once the adjusters have all been settled, you have to use the handle and put everything to measurements to lathe the rotors. After that you do it yourself and after everything is perfect then you let the machine do it by itself.

When you bleed the clutch, first you have to make sure the brake cylinder is full with brake fluid. If not, put some in to fill it.

After that, you got to put the open end of the brake bleed bottle on the bleeder valve. Later, you have too find the correct size wrench in order to open and close the bleeder valve; never forget that you open to the left and close to the right. Once you have that done, you have to tell the person inside the car to go down on the clutch pedal, so now you open the bleeder valve and leave it for a second and then close it and tell your partner UP so he can release the clutch pedal. You repeat this process at least three times until you don’t see anymore air bubbles coming out through the pipe in the bleed bottle.

As you can see here, my partner (Cristian) was the one in charge of pushing on, and releasing the clutch pedal.

Thanks for watching! Any doubts or questions?
