Centenary College Registration Tutorial By Centenary College IT Department in combination with Registrar’s Office / Bursar’s Office

Registration Welcome to Centenary’s new online registration process through the student self-service portal Prior to registering online, all students are strongly encouraged to meet with their faculty or academic advisor to select courses and review prerequisites before registering

To begin the online registration process, log into my.centenarycollege.edu using your Centenary username and password

In the navigation pane on the left, click on “My Course Registration.” This will take you to the self-service portal page

Once in the self-service portal you will need to log in once again using your Centenary username and password

This will take you to the “Welcome to Colleague Self-Service” page. Select the “Student Planning” tab

You will now be able to plan your courses and schedule your classes. The first step in this process is to make sure that you are in the correct term. In the upper left corner, you will find directional arrows to take you to the correct term. Your options are: 2016SU1 Traditional Summer I 2016, 2016SU2 Traditional Summer II 2016, 2016SUO Traditional Summer Online 2016, and 2016FA Traditional Fall 2016.

Now you can begin to select your courses for your planned term. Type the ID of the course you want to take in the search field in the upper right hand corner. For example: AFC-1001

The selected course and description will appear. Click on “View Available Sections” to view the available sections for the courses –e.g., AFC A, B, C, etc.

Once you have found the desired section, click the “Add Section to Schedule” button and the course will be added to your schedule.

Confirm the Section by clicking “Add Section to Schedule”

Repeat this Procedure for all the courses you want to take

Note that the courses you have selected now appear in your schedule in yellow boxes. Errors in scheduling will have the box outlined in red. You can delete a course by clicking on the “x” in the upper right corner of the box. Once you have confirmed your course selections, and they are error or conflict free, you are ready to proceed to the last phase of registration.

You are now ready to complete your registration. Click the “Register Now” tab in the upper right hand corner to complete your registration.

Confirmed classes are now in a green box. This means that you are officially registered for the classes. Boxes that remain yellow and are outlined in red means that there is a conflict or error and the registration did not go through.

Billing Now that you have registered for classes you can view your billing statement. The payment schedule for tuition and fees for full-time students is posted on the College’s web site – – under tuition and fees. Part-time undergraduate and graduate students are expected to make the appropriate tuition payment within seventy-two hours of their registration being posted.

Your billing statement can be accessed by logging into my.centenarycollege.edu

In the navigation pane on the left, click on “My Billing Ledger”

Log back into the self-service portal using your Centenary user name and password.

This takes you back to the welcome page. Click on the “Student Finance” button.

On the student finance page, you will be able to see your current charges and the total amount due. “Student Receivables” refers to tuition costs, additional fees, and room and board for resident students. The “Rm Reservation Security Dep” is for those who have declared their college residency.

As you view your charges, you are able to select the charge or charges you are going to pay by checking the appropriate box or boxes on the left,

Note that you can also change the amount of the payment being made. Full payment must be made by the due dates set by the College.

You also can select the payment method you are going to use by clicking the “Choose a Payment Method.”

At this point, click on the “Proceed to Payment” tab located in the top right corner.

A confirmation screen will appear. This is where you confirm the accuracy of the payment to be made.

Confirm that you have the correct Total Payment Amount before proceeding to the “Pay Now” tab.

Also, please confirm that the Payment Method you selected appears accurately.

When you click the “Pay Now” tab, your payment will be processed electronically. Electronic payment is either through credit card or by electronic check. Payments by checks received through the USPO are handled separately.
