Your Body Belongs to You Private parts for boys and girls are the parts of your body that are covered by a bathing suit!

Your Body Belongs to You Your body is a wonderful thing! It is important to keep it healthy and safe and clean. There are some special rules to learn about your private parts! Because your private parts are meant to be private, there are only a few people besides yourself who should see and touch them.

Your Body Belongs to You When you are a baby, the grownups that take care of you have to wipe your private parts to keep them clean and healthy. Your mom and dad have to clean up the mess from your dirty diapers. Of course they also give you baths, because you could not do that for yourself. When you are little, your parents have to help you because they are teaching you to take care of yourself.

Your Body Belongs to You Sometimes you might go to the doctor for a checkup. If your mom or dad is in the room with the doctor then its okay for the doctor to examine your private parts. The doctor wants to make sure that all the parts of your body are healthy.

Your Body Belongs to You But parents, caregivers, doctors and you are the only people who ever need to see, clean or examine your body parts. If people who are not taking care of you want to see or touch your private parts, or if they want you to touch or see their private parts, it is NOT okay. Say NO!

Resource People in School & Community IF someone ever does something that makes you feel unsafe, uncomfortable, alone, frightened by something they have done to you, get help right away no matter what they say! There will always be someone to help you!

Resource People in School & Community Who can you tell or go to for help? Any Trusted Adult
