1 Safety Planning And healthy Relationships
It’s your right to feel SAFE.

2 Feeling Safe Feeling safe means. Not feeling hurt or uncomfortable.
Your Happy Protected Around trusted adults Trusting someone who makes you feel SAFE.

3 Feeling Unsafe Your body warns you of unsafe things, Listen to it.
Heart beats fast: like you just got done running around Shaky or wobbly knees You feel scared

4 When you feel Unsafe Find someone you trust Tell a trusted adult If you can’t find a trusted adult-call 911 Remember its okay to say “NO” if it makes you feel Unsafe. Always trust your feelings

5 The Three W’s Where are you going? Who are you with?
When will you be back? Make sure to always tell someone where your going and who you are with.

6 Basic safety rules Check First: Children should always check first with the adult in charge before going anywhere or making any changes in plans. Go With Friends: Children are safer when they are not alone. It’s My Body: This message empowers children to set personal limits. They learn that no one has the right to touch the parts of their body that are covered by a bathing suit, except parents when they are helping them bathe, or a doctor or nurse when they are sick. They have the right to resist inappropriate touching Tell a Trusted Adult: Children should be encouraged to ask a trusted adult for help anytime they feel threatened

7 Your Body Your Rules NO Stop that Find a safe place
Remember that Everyone is Special You have a right to say “NO” or “STOP THAT” if some one tries to get you to do something that is uncomfortable or makes you feel unsafe. REMEMBER NO Stop that Find a safe place

8 You have the right to feel safe at ALL times!
You have different types of body parts: Some of them everyone can see Head Shoulders Arms Fingers Knees Feet Toes

9 You have the right to feel SAFE at ALL times!
And some are personal, that aren’t seen, even when in a bathing suit.

10 Safe and unsafe Bathing suits cover the private parts of our bodies and may not be touched by others With the exceptions of hygiene and medical procedures Touches that help keep us clean and healthy are safe touches These touches should never be secret touches If anyone touches you and it makes you feel unsafe, or they tell you to keep it a secret then these are unsafe touches and unsafe secrets. ALWAYS TELL SOMEONE

11 Comfortable and Uncomfortable
Holding mom or dads hand = comfortable When mom or dad bathe you = comfortable At the doctors office = comfortable If someone makes you feel uncomfortable but tell you it HAS to be a secret. = uncomfortable If someone is making you feel unsafe or weird = uncomfortable.

12 Who can you Trust We all have the right to feel safe all the time.
Others have the right to feel safe with us. We can talk to someone we trust about ANYTHING no matter how awful, or small. Family (Parents, Aunts or Uncles, Grandparents) Police EMT Firefighters Teachers Clergy Guidance Counselors
