WHO WE ARE?

TRL+ 2 Organizations – 1 scientific and technological project Our target: Enhance technological and scientific solutions for Marine Renewable Energies in deep and very deep waters. A market oriented approach supporting industrial needs. THE CONSORTIUM

07 The consortium Bimep is an open ocean test site specialized on deep and very deep water testing A privileged sea ocean climate with a combination of moderate and severe storms, close to one of the most industrialized and dynamic regions of Europe yields in one of the most attractive sites for wave and offshore wind testing. Key points: 20 MW of power: 4 connection points for WECs… Easy installation, testing and operation: facilities & means. Subsea cable and substation equipped with 2x20 MW 13.2/132 kV of 25 MWA transformers Electrical installation: WEC to Substation: 4 x 13.2kV / 5MW Substation to grid: 1 x 132kV/20MW Monitoring and control system Water depth: 50 – 100 m

Specialization: Physical modeling Numerical modeling Field testing Floating and fixed offshore wind Wave Energy O&M Offshore structures 07 THE CONSORTIUM IH Cantabria is a joint research institution between the University of Cantabria and the Environmental Hydraulics Institute Foundation focused on: Research, Education and Technology Transfer: Offshore Engineering and Marine renewables among other disciplines OUR MISSION: To develop basic and applied research in order to improve the level of competitiveness of our clients through advanced technologies and methodologies for engineering purposes. Fields of expertise: Offshore wind energy Wave energy systems Tidal current concepts Marine structures More than 50 MRE projects since 2009 More than 35 MRE scientific publications since 2009 Idermar project Lidar project Maren project ICTS: National scientific and technolocial singular facility
