13 th Amendment The 13th Amendment was the constitution abolishes.It happened January 10,1865.

14 th Amendment To The Constitution The 14 th Amendment to the Constitution grants citizenship to former slaves.this happened in 1868.

15 th Amendment To The Constitution The 15 th Amendment To The Constitution prohibits states from denying the right to vote of race.This happened in 1870.

Emancipation Proclamation Emancipation Proclamation freed slaves.It happened January 1,1863. Despite this expansive wording, the Emancipation Proclamation was limited in many ways. It applied only to states that had seceded from the Union, leaving slavery untouched in the loyal border states.
