Digital innovation in job search – Disabled Cohort Internet Users - disabled (73%, visual impairment 81%) and non- disabled (85%) use the internet daily or more often, Home computer access levels are higher among disabled people aged (92%) than among non-disabled adults in the same age group (87%). Smartphone - Ownership among younger disabled people (68%) is higher than among non-disabled people in this age group (62%). 3 Source - Ofcom 25/09/13 (Ofcom - Independent regulator and competition authority for the UK communications industries)

A Changing Market Place One in 5 job searches on mobile devices 4 out of 5 job seekers would search for a job, most would apply for a job on their phone. Jobseekers are platform agnostic. They have four screens and will move between devices and expect a seamless experience. Times of day are more significant now people are accessing via different devices. –Mobiles in morning, desktop in day, tablets in the evening. A reminder people use them all the time and switch between them. 4 Source – Google Oct 2013

Disclosure – Fast Tracking Outcomes 11 “I'm in a bit of a state right now! I've been in work for fifteen years in a variety of office environments. I have battled with severe depression in the past that caused me to be unable to work for large periods of time. Now I have somewhat overcome that affliction, I have been diagnosed with narrowing of my spinal canal, large disc bulges and impinged spinal nerves which have effectively disabled me - I now walk with a stick and am in some considerable pain. This condition will likely be long term. I know my current position is now untenable because of this, it is unlikely I will be able to return to my current job due to the necessity of physical activity as the office is very small and financially they aren't doing very well! I'm on SSP but in fear of termination. I know I must allow myself recovery time and be prepared to be disabled long term due to this, but I REALLY want to work! And soon. What can I do?” Thomas, Business Development Manager – 4.5hours over 2 weeks - £82.98 Reena, Online Customer Service Assistant (British Gas) – 2.5 hours over 1 week - £46.10 Daniel, Online Sales (Kosherpages.com) – 10 hours over 3 weeks - £ Jordan, Warehouse Assistant – 2.5 hours over 3 weeks - £46.10 Graham, Web designer (York University) – 6 hours over 5 weeks - £110.64
