Task at Hand Now that you have some knowledge about Botany let’s get some Plant Life Cycle Knowledge into your head!!! Because if you’re going to be a botanist you have got to know your stuff!! - Identify and Label Parts of a Plant - List and Describe the 5 Stages of the Plant Life Cycle - Create a Picture of a plant’s life cycle, of your choice, and label all the different parts correctly

Let’s Start with some Basics! Plant Structure and Nutrition Flower Root Stem Leaf Explore this site from left to right until you find these Five terms and write their explanations on a separate piece of paper. Basics?? I don’t need no Basics!!

Say What?!? How many Stages? There are 5 stages to the Plant Life Cycle. But, I have no idea what they are. Please, please, please help me to know what the 5 stages of the Plant Life Cycle are!!! Let’s Get a Little Artsy!! By this point in your Quest for Knowledge about Botany and the Plant Life Cycle you should be able to draw, color, and label your own diagram of a plant or flower’s life cycle. Be Creative, Mix & Match Colors, Pick ANY Plant I am mainly concerned with Correct Labeling!! This is what the labeled plant cycle should look like (IF YOU LOOK HERE FIRST, I WILL KNOW!!!!)

Students produced sufficient amount (at least 3) of vocabulary list. Student produced the entire vocabulary list. 5 Stage of Plant Life Student can identify and explain 2 or less of the stages. Student can at least identify and explain 3 of the stages. Students can identify and explain all 5 of the stages. Create and Label Plant Illustration Student showed lack of creativity and mislabeling. Student showed Moderate creativity and able to label half of the parts. Students showed creativity and labels all parts of the plant correctly.

Teacher Page By: Matt Kennedy This WebQuest demonstrates a good foundation on the Life Cycle of a Plant. This WebQuest is designed for 3 rd grade students. The main curriculum content area is Science. However, Language Arts, Visual Arts, and Technology are Integrated into it as well.

Visual Arts D.5 Create works of art that are based on observations of the physical world and that illustrate how art is part of everyday life, using a variety of art mediums and art media.
