This picture Is where most of the diseases came from during World War 1. This was a horrible time for these men. http://newp2012.blogspot.com/2008/09/trench- warfare.html

These bodies are men in world war 1 that died from the horrible disease called trench fever that was found December 1914. Trench fever baffled doctors and researches until the final year.

Trench fever started with severe pain, muscle aches, skin rashes, headaches, inflamed eyes, leg pains, and a high fever. http://www.skinsight.com/atlas/trenchFever.htm

Men who did survive trench fever had to be in recovery for up to 12 weeks out of the trenches. http://streamsandforests.files.wordpress.com/2010/ 05/stretcher_bearers_passchendaele_august_1917.jpg

They finally found the culprit in 1918 for causing the men in world war 1 a lot of pain and starting the horrible disease called trench fever. http://www.realbollywood.com/news/2010/11/ma donna-guest-homelice.html

They would shave their whole body to prevent getting Trench Fever. But it usually didn’t work for them. http://health.howstuffworks.com/wellness/bea uty-hygiene/shaving1.htm

Another medical condition that people called a disease was Trench foot. http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/FWWfoot.htm

Trench foot was caused by being in the water and not being allowed to take their wet boots and socks off for hours or even days at a time and cold unsanitary areas. http://www.users.zetnet.co.uk/dms/past/ww1/trenches.html

Trench foot is a fungal infection, it was more of a problem at the beginning of the trench warfare. But conditions improved in 1915.

In 1918-1919 between 20 and 40 million people died of a disease that was no normal cold or flu. http://virus.stanford.edu/uda /

They found out that this horrible disease was called influenza. It was killing more people then in World War 1.
