Per. 2 (B-days) Tuesdays and Fridays 10:15-11:30 Per. 2 only Wednesday (C-Days) 9:31-10:20 Before School is less reliable since I do not start my day in my classroom, and that is when I am usually working with students.

4. No wireless devices/phones for calculators in class. At home, they will work for many things, but not all. Algebra 2— Needs at least a scientific calculator everyday—graphing calculator works for that. ($10) Needs a graphing calculator most days beginning in late September. See next slide for details. We will also be using Desmos and/or Geogebra online. As a rule, in the math dept., we do not allow students to use phone calculators and/or apps in class, unless specified, and rarely if ever on tests.

5. Rent or Buy? $10 per semester to rent ≈$100 to buy, depending on what and where. Should last through many college classes. My kids have all needed TI83 or TI84 for college classes. Used run about $60 on Ebay. New TI-84 colors can be up to $140 TI-84, TI-83, TI-82—yes – can be plus or silver edition or color Please do not get a TI-85 or TI-86, TI-89, TI-Nspire, or any Casio. Makes it very hard in the classroom when everyone has such different calculators. TI-89 and TI-Nspire (CAS )are also not allowed on SAT or ACT

Geogebra—open source, continually growing Geogebra Desmos graphing calculator Desmos Google Sheets (spreadsheet in the cloud—part of google docs) Google Sheets Excel or Open Office Calc (spreadsheets) Wolfram Alpha —still investigating this one to see how to use it in Algebra 2. 7. Check on homework assignment when absent. Posted by week. Print assignment worksheets when absent—usually. Notes—sometimes. Miscellaneous useful links. For example Khan Academy tutorial links. Access to online textbook.
