Bring Your Own Device This year, the campus is allowing students use of their devices in the classroom as long as it pertains to education. So facebook and YouTube videos are still off limits during school hours. We will go over these rules later on… BYOD

It is expected that all work submitted for evaluation is the work only of the individual named on the paper and is not copied either in part or whole from any source. In light of this expectation, each of the following will be considered cheating (included but not limited to): copying the classwork, homework, or lab work of another student being in possession of the classwork, homework, or lab work of another student using a computer-generated item made by another student or online resource giving information to/receiving information from another student on a test being in possession of unauthorized information during a test If found cheating, you will receive a ‘0’ on the assignment, an office referral, a letter and phone call home, and you will not be eligible to receive a letter of recommendation to your committed college or university. CHEATING (A.K.A. “COLLUSION, MALPRACTICE, MALFEASANCE”)

In this course, I will NOT be going over all required vocabulary with you. You will be responsible for learning the appropriate assigned vocabulary at home and will be frequently quizzed over the assigned terminology. There will be dissections in this course. If you refuse to complete a dissection or your are absent on the day of dissection you will receive a 0% for a test grade as well as a lab grade and any paperwork that will be turned in. There will NOT be any make up dissections. Tests are given at the end of the semester over everything covered thus far in the year. The final exams are CUMMULATIVE. QUIZZES, DISSECTIONS, AND TESTS

Every student will be assigned a “Disease Day” this will count as a Six Week Project grade – 20% of your average. Towards the end of a body system unit, you will work INDIVIDUALLY on a disease that effects that body system. (ex: circulatory system = sickle cell anemia) 3-5 students will be chosen to complete a presentation over their chosen disease. The remainder of the students will write a 2 page paper over a disease with sources cited correctly, double spaced, and TYPED. **I do check plagiarism and cheating** It will result in a 0% for your Six Weeks Project – which will most likely result in failing the six weeks. DISEASE DAYS

Any misbehavior will result in detentions and phone calls/letters home (including but not limited to referrals and loss of laboratory privileges) It is completely unacceptable to be yelling, running, texting/passing notes, or horse-playing in this classroom. You are seniors and you are in an HONORS class, I expect you to behave as such. All detentions will be served BEFORE school beginning at 8:00am. If you are late, you will be given another detention to make up the missing time. (i.e. if you are 7 minutes late, you will serve a 7 minute detention the next morning at 8:00am) DISCIPLINE
