5. Student Enrollment Rule for DPS/SPS 5 Louisiana Believes Student is included (full academic year) if: For DPS, student is enrolled in same district on October 1 and testing date. For SPS, student counts at school where enrolled on February 1 if LEA flag is Yes.

Bonus Points 8 Louisiana Believes In 2012-13 Bonus Points are awarded in K-8 schools two ways: Student is repeating grade 4 or 8 and student earns higher score repeat year, or Student is taking LEAP again in summer, and earns summer score that is higher than spring score. Student can earn 50 points for each subject. Must meet full academic year definition. 2013 Growth SPS Student was non-proficient in spring 2012 and spring 2013 (no LAA), exceeded VAM goal, and was at the school on October 1 and February 1. Must be 10 in one or both subject groups and 30% exceed goal 2013 Annual SPS

Kinds of Accountability Codes (See User Guide for All Codes) 9 Louisiana Believes SIS Exit Reason Codes: Codes 1-39 and 97 are for students no longer enrolled such as: Student dropped out, died, or was expelled. Student transferred to another school or home study. Student completed school with diploma, GED, or certificate.

10. Kinds of Accountability Codes (See User Guide for All Codes) 10 Louisiana Believes Codes 80 through 99 are for enrolled students such as: Received the wrong kind of test. Have a doctor’s letter excusing them for medical emergency all days of test. Had a family member that died.Is in protective custody.

11. Impending Zeros 11 Louisiana Believes Students will be counted as a zero in SPS if: They are in grades 3-8, do not test and have no accountability code on pre-coded answer document. They are enrolled in a high school course with an EOC test and do not take the test if initial test. They are in high school and do not take the Algebra I and English II test by the third year of high school, except LAA 1 (even if they never enroll in classes). They take LAA 1 or LAA 2 and it is not indicated on the IEP.
