3 John Brown’s childhood  John brown was born on May,9 1800 in Torrington,Connticut.  John Brown spent most of his childhood in ohio where he was tagut in schools about compulsory education where he loved the bible and hated slavery.  he was herding cattle for gen. William Hulls men during the war of 1812.

4 John Browns family  John Brown was married to Dianthe Lusk on June 20,1820.  after married, he had seven kids.  Then they moved to Pennsylvania and had 13 kids.  He lived with a very good family.

5 Kansas-Nebraska Act  On august of 1855, he and five sons went to Kansas.  He wanted Kansas to be an anti-slavery state.  He went around to slave owners and hacked them to death because he wanted to get revenge.  In Autumn of 1856, Kansas became a slave state, Brown failed.

6 John brown during the civil war.  John brown and 21 other men went to raid Harpers Ferry, Virginia.(witch was a weapons industry). The people in harpers ferry west Virginia held them off before Robret E. Lee’s men came.  Robert E. Lee’s men attacked john browns men and the civil war started. Robert E. Lee was a strong general.  He was forced to retreat because of little forces.  He later was hanged for treason.

7 Review  John brown was born in 1800.  John brown was married to Dianthe Lusk.  He was a big part of the Kansas-Nebraska act.  He raided Harpers Ferry  He used violence to settle slavery problems.
