20. You’ll have a CAVtime hall pass for your tutorial. Report directly to your meeting at the beginning of CAVtime. Attendance will be taken. If you do not see a hall pass, you are NOT portaled out. Stay in study hall. If you’re portaled out for tutoring:

21. To request a tutorial: Requests need to be made in advance. This button will list your tutoring requests and confirmed appointments. This is also where you create a new tutoring request.

23. To request a tutorial: Start typing a teacher’s name. All you need is a letter or two.

24. To request a tutorial: Use the drop-down menu to find the teacher you need.

26. A date field will appear. Click into it to make a calendar picker pop up.

27. To request a tutorial: Click the date you want. (Light gray dates are not available.)

28. To request a tutorial: You can specify whether the appointment is for tutoring or makeup/retesting.

29. To request a tutorial: Briefly describe the problem or question so your teacher can prepare.

30. To request a tutorial: Click ‘request meeting’. It might take a while to respond. Click ONLY ONCE.

31. To request a tutorial: Your request will appear in your list. Check here later to see if your teacher approved your request.

32. To request a tutorial: This request hasn’t been approved yet. You can still cancel it if you need to.

33. To request a tutorial: Your teacher responded. Your request was approved. You are now committed to this meeting.

34. What about clubs? You’ll see this drop down if you have a club meeting coming up and you haven’t done your RSVP yet. YOU CANNOT ATTEND A CLUB MEETING UNLESS YOU RSVP IN ADVANCE. EVERY MEETING. EVERY TIME.

35. What about clubs? To attend this club, you need to “portal in” by clicking here. Your RSVP changes to ‘YES’. Study hall is your default location. If you know you need to stay in study hall to get some work done, help your club sponsor out by clicking the study hall choice. This changes your RSVP from ‘maybe’ to ‘NO’.

36. Behold, the coveted HALL PASS! PICS OR IT DIDN’T HAPPEN. (Take a screen capture as a back-up.) Have this hall pass showing on your device as you walk to your destination. Have a substitute teacher? They can’t portal. Show them your hall pass so you can attend your session.

37. What if I click the wrong RSVP button? If you accidentally click the wrong button, you can change your RSVP. You can change your mind as many times as you like up until 11:00 a.m. At 11:00 a.m., your choice will be locked. (11:00 a.m. is the current cut-off, but this is subject to change.)

39. A final word on RSVP: Your permission slip puts you “on the list” of people who get portal invites to a club meeting. Only your RSVP to a specific club meeting on a specific date puts you “on the list” to actually leave your study hall room. WITHOUT AN RSVP, YOU ARE NOT PORTALED OUT!
