2. WOMen
When a young woman married in the early years of the Roman Republic she left her childhood home and the authority of her father. Wife used to be in charge of money and house. In law her status was not very different from that of her husband’s daughter. By the end of the First Century women had achieved a level of freedom they would not see again in Western Society until the last half of the Twentieth Century.

3. WORK
Life was hard in the Ancient World, death and hunger lurked around every corner. Outside of the lower classes women could not work. In fact "work" was seen as something to be done by slaves.  

4. SCHOOL AND CHILDREN
Children in Ancient Rome were usually reared by their mothers until they reached age of seven. After that they accompanied their fathers who taught them to be farmers, craftsmen or soldiers. Children from wealthy families usually went to school and were taught how to read and write. They did not write on paper but on wax tablets. It  made it easier to wipe out mistakes.*

5. SCHOOL - GAMES
Very few girls with formal education beyond the age of 12 however teenage boys from rich families usually attended a secondary school known as a grammar school until they reached sixteen. Here they studied Greek, history, Geography and Maths. 
After school children were free to go to the public baths or play games. They played with marbles or rolling hoops sometimes they even used a pigs bladder blown up like a balloon to play football. *

6. marriage
Childhood lasted for only a sort period of time  in Ancient Rome. Boys could marry  at 14 while girls tended to get married from The night before her wedding , a young girl would return her bulla (a gold/leather birth amulet), to her father and she would then give away all her toys. This was a statement that her childhood was over.

7. .
Children must not talk back to their parents. If you talk back you could be thrown out of the house and never allowed to come back. And they had no rights !

8. fathers paterfamilias
In ancient Rome PATERFAMILIAS was the head of a Roman family. The pater familias was the oldest living male in a household. He had complete control of all family members.
