3 Sec Two Promotion Criteria Express Stream: Pass in EL and a % pass in the average of all subjects Pupils who are unable to meet the promotion criteria will be laterally transferred to Normal stream. There is no retention at 2 Express. Sec 2 Express Meet Promotion Criteria Has Not Met Promotion Criteria Sec 3 Express Sec 3 Normal (Academic)

4 Sec Two Promotion Criteria Normal(A) Stream: At least a Pass in EL & 2 other subjects, or pass 4 subjects Laterally transferred to 3 Express: 75% or higher in the average for all subjects Retained at same level for those who has not met minimum attainment level. Sec 2 N(A) Overall average >75% 3 Express Meet Promotion Criteria 3 Normal Has not met promotion criteria Sec 2N(A)

Laterally transferred to 2N(A): 75% or higher in the average for all subjects Sec 2N(T) Has not met promotion criteria 2N(T) Meet promotion criteria 3N(T) Overall average >75% 2N(A)

6 The overall performance of a pupil is assessed based on the weighting below:- Semester 1 Continual Assessment: 15% Common Test is one component of the CA Semester 1 Examination (Mid-year Exam) 25% Semester 2 Continual Assessment 15% Common Test is one component of the CA Semester 2 Examination (End of Year Exam) 45% Overall 100%

8 Streaming Criteria The selection of applicants to courses is based 1 st, on merit and 2 nd, on the order of choice of courses We will also try to take your child’s aptitude and interest into consideration for choice of elective subject
