Announcement: You need something to write with, and something to write on. Make up test need to be done ASAP Agenda o Class expectations o Vocabulary o Monday – Expectations/Restless earth vocabulary o Tuesday – Pretest, Mineral or non mineral? o Wednesday- Mineral or Non mineral activity prep. o Thursday – Mineral or Non mineral activity o Friday- L to J/Check for understanding

2 Next Semester Information Take your file folders with you! You will need a spiral note book. – Bring to class everyday! Get something to write with. Bring it to class everyday. – Pen or pencil – Bring one to me!

3 Expectations Be Respectful – There is a time and a place for everything. Pick the right time and place! – There is a time and a place for talking, be respectful of when that is. – Be respectful of others property and space. – Be respectful in the way you talk with adults and other classmates. Be Responsible. – Be responsible for being to class on time. – Be responsible for your actions. (What you say and what you do!) – Be responsible for your messes. – Take responsibility for your learning. Be peaceful!

4 Champ’s/Assignment Conversations- – Conversations should be at a 0 during direct instruction, 1 when working with your table. Help – Ask the teacher for help. – Ask the people around you at a level 1 voice. Activity – Vocabulary assignment. Movement – Stay in your seat. – If you do need to move, go directly from your spot to another and return without disrupting others. Participation – Every person will be turning in vocabulary assessment. Vocabulary Assignment You will be given a sheet with a list of words and their definitions. You will match up the words and their definitions, put it in your own words, and draw a picture to represent the word.
