9 What suggestions would you make in order to improve the Evacuation procedures? The only time that it became "real" to me was when i saw the "dead" bodies. I would hope that it would be possible in a real situation for them to be covered because that would traumatize students. 9/2/2015 11:14 AM A code word included in the all clear call would alert all members on staff that no one has forced another staff member to make such a call. 9/1/2015 6:55 PM Making sure there is a code word or something before we open the door of the classroom. Not just announce lockdown is over (this could be the shooter) 8/30/2015 9:04 AM Make provision for EC to be somehow released in a easier manner. 8/28/2015 3:19 PM Practice it in every school, every year, even if you had to pretend you were getting on a bus. Helping to build a calmer team consensus of effort and feel like we were pro-active, eventually, and a little less vulnerable. 8/28/2015 11:10 AM not sure there is any way to improve it 8/27/2015 4:11 PM

10 What suggestions would you make in order to improve the Reunification Process/procedure? Reuniting at another school is fine but again why not use a central location on campus? If the perpetrators have been caught then bringing us all together in one area at the school seems less chaotic. 9/2/2015 11:14 AM It was unclear to me where to go. We went to the gym because the cafeteria looked full. In all at least we were in a safe place and someone could find us eventually. 9/1/2015 6:55 PM Discussing with teachers what they would need to do at that point. Do parents come directly to us to get their child? 8/26/2015 2:03 PM More organization. We were told to go to the gym then once we arrived there, we were sent back to the cafeteria. 8/28/2015 2:37 PM There definitely needs to be an administrator or law enforcement official at the front desk. Parents are understandably upset, scared and angry. This situation has the potential for violence. We need to find a way to locate and get the student to the parent quicker. 8/28/2015 10:16 AM I think the biggest issue is going to be parents freaking out, and there really isn't much to do about that. I definitely think law enforcement needs to be sure that parents are notified as quickly as possible if their child is injured or worse. And I think all parents need to know that if their child is injured, or worse, they will know about it quickly. That way, we don't have parents showing up at a reunification site to pick up a child who has been transported to the hospital.

11 Emergency Operations Exercise Lessons Learned Plan for casualties physical/emotional Reunification site plans/map Crime scene Law enforcement Difficulty in ending Lockdown Utilities Extended Lockdown time Extended Debrief/Interviews prior to reunification Communication with parents Questions/comments

12 Q3: Did you find the Reunification Drill held on August 20, 2015 to be beneficial?
