Football PARENT POINTERS http://coachlynchfootball.weebly.com

FOOTBALL 1. We strive to treat our players like our sons. We will LOVE and DISCIPLINE them. http://coachlynchfootball.weebly.com

EMOTION Football is an emotional game, and we coach it as such. We coach hard, sometimes loudly, and aggressively. Our practices are always open and you are welcome to watch, but beware – it will be intense. http://coachlynchfootball.weebly.com

PRIORITIES We believe, stress, and teach priorities: FAMILY, ACADEMICS, FAITH, and FOOTBALL – knowing full well that football is the last priority. http://coachlynchfootball.weebly.com

ACADEMICS Our program will require weekly academic progress reports. All players will attend study tables. If your son needs “extra” attention, make sure he gets it. Many of our teachers offer help before or after school. Try to schedule help before school so they will not miss practice. If a teacher is not willing to meet before school, then we will excuse them for a few minutes after school. Please make an effort to schedule before school. http://coachlynchfootball.weebly.com

ATTENTION We will require your son’s undivided attention when we are coaching him. We expect him to reply “Yes Sir, No Sir” or “Yes Coach, No Coach” http://coachlynchfootball.weebly.com

THE TEAM The TEAM will always come first. We have no stars. No one player is more important than the TEAM. It is not our job to bring glory to your son – it is your son’s job to bring glory to the TEAM. http://coachlynchfootball.weebly.com

FOOTBALL - DISCIPLINE FOOTBALL - DISCIPLINE We may require your son to be more disciplined than you do. If he is anything but a gentleman at school, there will be some consequences at practice. We expect your child to dress appropriately when they are representing the football team. We will do our best when your son is on our watch. We ask that you do the same when he is on yours. This includes enforcing curfew, knowing where he is, and who he is hanging with. Proper nutrition and rest are key elements to allow your son to be successful. Make sure he eats and drinks plenty of the right things. http://coachlynchfootball.weebly.com

FOOTBALL – PLAYING TIME We do not play kids to make them happy. Playing time is earned, not given. We will make a commitment at the freshman and JV levels to play all players in every game. How much they play is up to them. The sole purpose of the lower levels is to develop players to become varsity players. How soon that is, is up to them. http://coachlynchfootball.weebly.com

WHY ATHLETES PLAY Athletes are played because they have great attitude, they do the things that are required, they add the most value to the TEAM, they understand their role on the TEAM, they understand their number one goal is to make the TEAM better, and they do their job better than anyone else. http://coachlynchfootball.weebly.com

INFLUENCE A parent’s influence or position makes no difference. We do not play favorites. You should get involved in the booster club-not because you think it will help your son get more playing time-but because it’s the right thing to do. We appreciate all of your time and financial support. Your donations and $$ will be put to good use: summer camps, video equipment, football equipment, etc. http://coachlynchfootball.weebly.com

TEAM 1 ST We put players in positions that will best benefit the TEAM. http://coachlynchfootball.weebly.com

SCHOLARSHIPS It is not up to me to get your son a scholarship. It is up to him. I will do everything in my power through contacts, sending film, NATS, phone calls, etc. The bottom line – it is on your son. Academics and character play a huge role! If your son wants to play college football, we will work hard to find a place that is right for him. http://coachlynchfootball.weebly.com

EVALUATION Evaluation of your son happens 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. http://coachlynchfootball.weebly.com

DEPTH Players who do not work out with the TEAM, come to summer camp, or do not attend summer/off-season workouts (provided they are not in another sport) will start at the bottom of the depth chart. We will reward players who have shown a steady commitment to the program. http://coachlynchfootball.weebly.com

MEETINGS Schedule meetings with me in advance. Remember our philosophy when evaluating a situation – the TEAM comes first. My door is always open and so is my mind; please have the same attitude. I will always want the player present at any meeting that concerns him. Please require your son to talk to me before you schedule a meeting. Hopefully all conflicts can be resolved before a meeting is needed. http://coachlynchfootball.weebly.com

COMMUNITY We have great people in this community. Our program strives to create a FAMILY atmosphere. It will take effort from all parties involved to develop a role-model program. Let’s roll up our sleeves and get busy. Together, we can all make a difference in molding our future fathers, husbands, and leaders. http://coachlynchfootball.weebly.com

FOOTBALL FOOTBALL EXPECT VICTORY http://coachlynchfootball.weebly.com
