3. Facilitative Theory the humanist approach developed by Carl Rogers and others Like client-centered psychotherapy, the humanist approach to learning is student centered and personalized. The goal is to develop self-actualized, autonomous people in a cooperative and supportive environment. Learning will occur by the educator acting as a facilitator that guides the whole child. The Learner is:  naturally eager to learn.  encouraged to take responsibility for his/her own learning.  learn by experiencing and being an active participant.  invited to consider that the most valuable evaluation is self- evaluation.
