A stepping-stone to further development. An opportunity to learn by doing. A chance to step out of the box. An ability to test a contest speech. Ready-made audiences providing helpful feedback. Speaking opportunities outside your Club. Further development of your communications and leadership skills. Practice, practice, practice… your first steps on the path to becoming an Accredited Speaker.

3. How does the Speakers Bureau Benefit District 25? The Speakers Bureau Provides Referrals to: Toastmaster Clubs within District 25. Public community service. Volunteer groups. Non-profit organizations. Raises the awareness of Toastmasters Improves the credibility of D-25

4. Who We Are The Speakers Bureau Provides The community access to: Proficient speakers/trainers. A list of variety speech subjects. Give speakers a chance to expand their current knowledge. Remember Darren LaCroix’s recommendation: “Stage Time, Stage Time, and more Stage Time” One “great” marketing tool.

5. How to Become a Member? Two Speaker Paths: Presentations to Speakers Bureau to be evaluated by our Team. Present a presentation at a D-25 Conference, Toastmaster Leadership Institute or Register by completing the form on-line at our District 25 web site. Open to all Toastmasters with a Competent Toastmaster (CTM) or higher.

6. How Does The Speakers Bureau Work? Speakers contact the D-25 Web Site and enter their information. Speakers may be asked to provide a Presentation to our Team. Each Division will have a Point Of Contact. Volunteer organizations will contact the Web Site: Pick a speaker from the web site list. Indicate the type of requested speech. Indicate the time, date, and location of their speech. The Speakers Bureau team will select a speaker and direct requests to each speaker.

7. D-25 Speakers Bureau Web Site The Web Site can be found at: www.d25toastmasters.org Connects speakers to community groups Will include a bulletin board with: Meeting dates. Membership information “bios/pictures.” Posting of speaking and educational opportunities. Includes a “Special Needs” presentation.
