1 Uploading Documents & Using the Events Calendar in ABI Lee Olney TAC Meeting February 26, 2013

3 Uploading Documents O From ABI Gradebook tab when creating a new assignment OR From the ABI Home page using My Briefcase O Can upload many file types—MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, ordinary text files, etc. O Limit: 3 docs per assignment

4 From ABI Gradebook Edit Assignments Create new or choose existing assignment

5 Under Document Links, click on the Upload icon

6 Click on the Browse button and locate the file to upload

7 Once the file has been uploaded, a dialog box will appear Close Window

8 Document is now listed with the assignment Students can upload assignments if you check “Allow Drop Box”

9 Uploading Files from ABI Home Page Click on the Upload icon in the “My Briefcase” section

10 Click on the Browse button and locate the file to upload

11 Once the file has been uploaded, a dialog box will appear Close Window

12 The document will display under My Briefcase O Only you can see the briefcase O Can add to new or existing assignments from a drop down list

13 access the pull-down list under Document Links To add an assignment from “My Briefcase,”

14 Using the Events Calendar Can upload document even if you are not using ABI Gradebook Click on Add New Event

15 Type in a title and description and select the start and end dates.

16 Event Scope: Choose who will see this event

17 Click on the upload icon and browse to find the document you want to post with this event Or use the pull-down menu to access items in your briefcase

18 You can also post an event without attaching a document

19 Calendar Events are Color-Coded by Type

20 Clicking on the + sign expands the box to show what the event is

21 To edit or delete events, return to viewing just that day
