2  The quality of complete ration for ruminant in Indonesia is generally low. The laboratory analysis showed that the crude protein content of the ruminant complete ration is 9.30– 12.50%, while Indonesian National Standard (SNI) recommended crude protein of the ruminant ration at 14-16%.  Feeding low quality diet will elicit low performance to animal. Daily gain of beef cattle or milk production of dairy cattle will not reach its genetic potential if animal lacks nutrient supply. Moreover, the impairment to the reproduction performance will be as well an impact.  Addition of feed additives and supplement in low quality diet was provenly capable of improving feed efficiency. The amount of feed additive and supplement added, however, needs proper calculation based on the nutrient requirement. It is therefore essential for the practitioners to discern the quality of the feedstuffs and ration, and for certain, the quality of feed additive and supplement.  The quality of complete ration for ruminant in Indonesia is generally low. MATERIALS  To give the current information about (1) The quality of feedstuffs and ration in ruminant; (2) The quality and benefit of feed additive and supplement addition in ruminant diet; and (3) The mineral cycle and their effect on ruminant performance.  The participants will infer (1) The quality of the Feedstuffs and ration used in Indonesia; (2) The benefit of using feed additive and supplement on improving beef and dairy cattle performance; and (3) The role and status of mineral, vitamin, and amino acids in the feedstuffs and ration in Indonesia  To give the current information about (1) The quality of feedstuffs and ration in ruminant; (2) The quality and benefit of feed additive and supplement addition in ruminant diet; and (3) The mineral cycle and their effect on ruminant performance.  The participants will infer (1) The quality of the Feedstuffs and ration used in Indonesia; (2) The benefit of using feed additive and supplement on improving beef and dairy cattle performance; and (3) The role and status of mineral, vitamin, and amino acids in the feedstuffs and ration in Indonesia Wednesday - Thursday, September 29-30, 2010,(08.00–17.00 WIB) IPB International Convention Center (IICC) Botani Square Baranangsiang Jl.
