3 A RRIVAL P ROCEDURES AND E XPECTATIONS Enter the building silently and greet the teacher on duty. Walk straight to your classroom. Begin your day and make it a great one

4 H ALLWAY P ROCEDURES AND E XPECTATIONS When standing in the hall, you should: Line up a square or two behind the person in front of you. Stay in the center of your square. Keep your mouths closed and eyes straight ahead. Keep your hands behind our backs. Remain in silent line form.

5 H ALLWAY P ROCEDURES AND E XPECTATIONS ( CONT.) When walking in the hall, you should: Keep your hands behind your backs or at your sides. Keep your mouths closed and eyes straight ahead. Walk on the right side of the hall. Stop at all corners unless it is an emergency drill. Make sharp turns when turning corners.

6 C AFETERIA P ROCEDURES AND E XPECTATIONS When entering the cafeteria, you should: Enter silently and remain silent until you have your food and are seated. Talk quietly once you reach your assigned seats. Stay in your assigned seats unless moved by the cafeteria monitor. Raise your hands and wait to be called on when you need assistance. Sharing food is prohibited. All food must be eaten before you leave cafeteria.

7 R ECESS P ROCEDURES AND E XPECTATIONS When exiting the building for recess, you should: Walk to the recess door in a single file line. Keep your mouths closed. Walk on the sidewalk in a single file line until you reach the playground.

8 R ECESS P ROCEDURES AND E XPECTATIONS (C ONT.) When you are on the playground, you should: Come down the slide on your bottoms. Only play catch with the footballs. Sit in the swings while swinging. Wait until the swings stop before you get out. Stay inside the playground and/or “ball area”. Follow any other expectations your teacher has for your class.

9 R ECESS P ROCEDURES AND E XPECTATIONS (C ONT.) Before you enter the building from recess, you should: Line up on the sidewalk in a single file line. Close your mouths. Enter the building silently.

10 A SSEMBLY P ROCEDURES AND E XPECTATIONS When there is an assembly, you should: Enter the cafeteria silently in a single file line and remain silent until you are given other instructions. Keep your eyes and attention on the speaker. When it is time to exit the cafeteria, wait for teacher’s instructions. Exit the cafeteria silently in a single file line.

11 D ISMISSAL P ROCEDURES AND E XPECTATIONS Car (Door 5-Cafeteria) Exit the classroom silently and walk in a single file line to the cafeteria. Sit quietly at assigned table and listen for your name being called. Stay at your assigned table until a teacher on car duty gives you different instructions.

12 D ISMISSAL P ROCEDURES AND E XPECTATIONS (CONT.) Bus, Day Care, and Walkers (K-2-Door 14) (3-4-Door 1) Exit the classroom silently and walk outside in a single file line to appropriate door. Once you have exited the building, walk straight to your bus, get on and stay on. If your bus is late, stand quietly with your class and wait until it is time to load the bus. Walkers wait for the instructions of the crossing guard.
