2  Muslim armies will eventually drive the Crusaders out of the Holy Land  The Crusades were to expensive and people started to question the importance of them

3  Under Genghis Khan, Mongol armies swept across Asia.  Mongols invaded Persia ending the Abbasid Dynasty  Mongols were stopped by the Malmuks. The Malmuks were Muslims who ruled over most of the Holy Land and North Africa  ** Mongols converted to Islam and unified Asia under one religion

6  As the Mongol and Malmuk Dynasties decline the Ottoman’s take over the region  They conquer Constantinople and end the Byzantine Empire  They allowed all groups to worship and make their own communities called “Millets”

7  They will end up control all of Persia. There descendants are still the rulers of the region today

8  Take control of India and bring Islam

9  Muslim traders spread religion throughout world. They bring it to Africa and Indonesia.
