Resident PLDC or higher 3. Time in requirement SSG: 82 mo. TIS and 12 mo. TIMIG Up to 36 mo. TIS & 3 mo. TIMIG for promotion as of SGT: 34 mo. TIS and 10 mo. TIMIG Up to 20 mo. TIS & 3 mo. TIMIG the 1st day of the Board Month 4. Reenlistment Must be eligible to reenlist IAW AR None Eligibility AR 5. Physical Considered physically qualified unless None Qualifications undergoing medical evaluation proceedings to determine ability to perform in PRMOS 6. APFT Must possess a current passing APFT None 7. ADAPCP Cannot be enrolled in the program. None 2

MAINTAINING LIST STATUS Must validate if total point score is 699 or less within a 24 mo. period based on the date of last approved promotion action Failure to validate will result in administratively removal from Recommend List ADMINISTRATIVE EVALUATION Simple recomputation of the administrative points A soldier who believes he/she has increased (through self achievement or awards) his/her latest promotion score by 20 points or more may request an administrative evaluation Submit DA Form 4187 to request evaluation TOTAL REEVALUATION Includes the entire process: the commander’s recommendation, promotion board appearance, and administrative points May be requested at any time by a soldier who increase his/her promotion points by 20 points or more, or after 6 months from the latest board appearance or evaluation if he/she has less than a 20 point increase 2

ENLISTED COUNSELING AR , Para 2-7c establishing counseling requirement Supervisors must counsel Sergeants and below who meet advancement or promotion eligibility, without waiver, but have not been recommended for promotion. Counseling is required monthly and directed towards those areas in which the soldier needs to improve in order to qualify for the next higher grade. Senior Enlisted Advisors are encouraged to spot check counseling to ensure it is being conducted 2
