3  All newly selected Cadet Officer are Frocked to the Rank based on designated position and LET level.  Officer must complete promotion requirements to officially earn a promotion at their designated rank. Squad Member  Officer/Staff Candidates must complete all suspense's as assigned in the Battalion Training Guidance. Failure to comply will result in revocation of promot ion and position. Cadet will then be assigned as a Squad Member.  All Officer/Staff Candidates records are Active.  All Cadets will have a separate promotion folder (Controlled Document). (Active).  All completed promotion requirements will dated and initialed by the Cadet Evaluator.  Supporting documentation will be required for designated promotion requirements. (Not acting leader due to an absence)  Only the senior ranking officer for each period can remove the promotion record from the Battalion File Cabinet. (Not acting leader due to an absence)  Battalion Executive Officer/S1 will maintain promotion Excel Spreadsheet.  Once Cadet is promoted: - Their promotion worksheet and supporting documents will be placed in their personal folder. 5 Two Phases Formal Evaluation (Promotion Work Sheet – Active – Must complete within 4 Weeks) Phase 1 Formal Evaluation (6Weeks) – Complete all designated Formal Evaluation prerequisites. (Promotion Work Sheet – Active – Must complete within 4 Weeks) Promotion Validation (Battalion Promotion Verification Sheet -Active) Phase 2 Promotion Validation (1 Week Period) – One week verification that all promotion requirement have been met. (Battalion Promotion Verification Sheet -Active) Phase 1 in six Weeks  Cadet must complete Phase 1 in six Weeks  Failure to complete Phase 1 within designated timeline will result in Cadet ineligible for promotion. OVERVIEW If a Cadet is removed from their position for adverse reasons or fails to complete any phase within designated time period the Cadet will be demoted to the maximum rank of Staff Sergeant or the rank they held prior to selection to new position and rank.

6  Cadets can review their promotion folder.  Battalion will maintain promotion Excel Spreadsheet.  Battalion will post the names off all Cadets that are scheduled to be promoted and all Cadets in the Formal Evaluation Phase on the Website and Bulletin Board every Tuesday.  All Formal Evaluation Phase requirements must be posted on the Company training schedule.  Folders will be inspected every Friday by the Army Instructors and/or Cadet Staff and Commander.  Cadets can review their promotion folder.  Battalion will maintain promotion Excel Spreadsheet.  Battalion will post the names off all Cadets that are scheduled to be promoted and all Cadets in the Formal Evaluation Phase on the Website and Bulletin Board every Tuesday.  All Formal Evaluation Phase requirements must be posted on the Company training schedule.  Folders will be inspected every Friday by the Army Instructors and/or Cadet Staff and Commander. 13  Promotion to next Rank at Medallion Ceremony.  Promotions will be retroactive back to August  If a enlisted recipient is in the Formal Evaluation Phase at the time of receiving the medal, they will be promoted two ranks. (Also applies to Superior Cadet Promotions)  Cadets must complete general knowledge/validation test of new rank within 2 weeks of receiving the Medallion.  Promotion to next Rank at Medallion Ceremony.  Promotions will be retroactive back to August  If a enlisted recipient is in the Formal Evaluation Phase at the time of receiving the medal, they will be promoted two ranks.
