3 Beth Koopman, RN, ONC Founder of Grand Canyon Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society It was a long standing dream of Beth’s to see the establishment of a local chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society in Northern Arizona. For many years nurses who were members of the National ONS had to travel to Phoenix to attend meetings. This of course limited the amount of participation.

4 Through Beth’s involvement with the Oncology Committee, she was able to ignite interest in forming a local chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society. An organizational meeting was held in June of 1994, Beth was elected the first President.

5 The Grand Canyon Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society would like to dedicate this presentation to the memory of Beth Koopman. (July 12, 1952-December 29, 1997)
