4. LICENSING  Vendor directed  IP or Password ( may not be able to choose password – rather assigned by vendor)  Pricing may depend on number of computers, users, or patient admissions and discharges per year.  Institutional pricing is higher than physician pricing

5. Budget Issues  Cost of e-journals within the entire journal budget – no increase $  Cost of e-journals is often higher than paper copy  Printing costs for articles – paper and toner

6. ACCESS  Currently only within the library  NOT licensed for delivery by email to our staff  Graphics not easily printed on some printers – often requires script and large memory options  Can more quickly pick up the paper copy to read than download the PDF for printing
