2 One reason of the Inca’s great power was because they had the ability to turn any ordinary farmer into a “ready for battle soldier”. This is because the Incans had a law that every male must take part in a war so that if they ever might be attacked, they would be ready for battle. By the time this empire had become large every part of the empire had helped in creating the vast army.

3  Some weapons that the people of the Incan civilization used were Bronze or bone tipped spears, two handed wooden swords, clubs with stone or spiked metal heads, woolen slings and stones, and stone or copper headed battle axes.

4  For helmets they were either made out of wood, copper, bronze, cane, and animal skin and some were adorned with feathers.  They had round or square shields made from wood or animal hide  Cloth tunics covered with cotton or wood planks to protect the spine.

5  The Incan army consisted of 200,000 men. These army’s had a group leader, a commander, and noblemen to fight. Around 10,000 men in a group was efficient.
