24 Main tasks This month: ► Terms & Conditions of new products (A03; A04; A05; R04; R05)  R04, R05: revised some articles as requested by MOF.  A03, A04, A05: finished.  Application form for A04: finished ► Legal Compliance Process  following up.

25 Main tasks This month: ► Dongnai branch:  prepared some documents to submit to MOF for setting up Dongnai branch;  prepared some leasing contracts for working & living in Dongnai;  submitted to Justice Dept. of HCMC to make non-criminal record for Mr. Jack.  completed the documents of Member of Council for applying Dongnai branch. ► Exciting Summer with Cathay campaign:  gave advice & revised some documents for Planning Dept; ► N’orch’issues:  Notice letter about disagree overtime payment;

26 Main tasks This month: ► Danang branch:  Terminate leasing contract with Green Plaza;  Prepare an Annex of Leasing contract with Sacombank. ► Revise & review contract  Co-operated agreement between Cathay & IVB regarding bancassurance: finished;

28 Dated 11 Jan 2010 MOF promulgated Circular 02/2010/TT-BTC additionally guiding Circular 84/2008/TT-BTC dated 30 Sep 2008 guiding Decree 100/2008/ND-CP detailing providing a number of Law on Personal Income Tax. Legal Department  In case foreign individual who is residential subject in Vietnam having income from business, salary, wage have paid compulsory insurances similar to the provisions of the Vietnamese law, then, all such paid insurance shall be deducted such amounts into payable income from business, salary, wage before calculating PIT. This subject has to prove that he/she paid such amounts as following the foreign law. These above provisions shall be applied from 25 February 2010

29 Dated 12 January 2010 MOF promulgated Circular 03/2010/TT-BTC guiding the implementation of Decree 41/2009/NĐ-CP dated 05 May 2009 of Government providing administrative sanctions on insurance business. The Circular gives guidline of: i.the principle to determine sanctioned subjects; ii.provides false information or conducts false advertising about the operation contents and scope or about conditions for insurance cover. Or provides information which adversely impacts on the lawful rights and interests of others insurers; iii.competes to obtain clients by hindering, embroiling, bribing, threatening…;

30 The Circular gives guidline of: (cont.) iv.fails to announce information publicly and fails to be transparent during the sale of products resulting in clients misunderstanding the products and services which the insurer supplies; v.discriminating as regards insurance conditions and premiums scales between potential insured persons who in fact have the same risk level; vi.use influence to require, prevent or coerce a lower level body or related person to purchase insurance with any one particular insurer.
