A region is an area of the earth with similar physical and cultural characteristics Activity: list items that they would need to adapt to the environment when visiting their different regions. –grasslands, deserts, rain forests, mountains, polar regions

Human-Environment Interaction looks at all the effects—positive and negative—that occur when people interact with their surroundings Activity: –list ways that people effect their environment every day –List ways that your environment effect you
