8  Rice as usual from FCI through District S&T Agents  All other foodstuff procurement decentralized to village level  No central ceiling price for any commodity  No particular dal specified. Can buy locally produced and processed dals, except prohibited dals-preference to SHGs.

9  Emphasis on meeting protein and calorie norms within the ration cost. Not daily, but weekly average.  Major role for PRIs and local committees  Variety introduced- daily recipe of MDM standardized all over state (2 eggs/week)  Involvement of WSHGs strengthened

10  Joint accounts in all schools  Joint verification of enrolment  Publication of ◦ entitlement charts[quantity per meal+ cost] ◦ photographs of janch committee members and SHG members in Schools
