What is TECOS? TECOS is the acronym for the Alabama State Course of Study for Technology TECOS training is designed to make new teachers aware of available resources and lesson plans to help in making sure the technology course of study is included when planning lessons for students.
WHY TECOS? Federally mandated (NCLB) State mandated (Technology Course of Study-2004) Help meet PEPE standards Documentation of Implementation forms required for end of year checkout will be requested during state monitoring sessions You and your students will benefit from the lessons provided
Who is Responsible? When lessons are taught in the computer lab, the classroom teacher is responsible for teaching the lessons that cover the objectives. The computer proctor/aide is to assist when needed and help with any technical problems that might occur in the lab.
