2. Page 2 Why do we need UPC cross-references? For some Wal-Mart styles ODS does not create open stock (00A) UPCs The individual sizes are created as prepacks in ODS and these UPCs are recognized by RLM as a different style RLM therefore creates “dummy” UPCs starting with 79999 for the prepack components These 79999 UPCs must be matched to a Wal- Mart UPC (from the bible) via the UPC Cross- Reference file Wal-Mart divisions are 13 and 14. Styles with 79999 UPCs must have cross-reference UPCs entered in order to scan the units into the cartons.

Page 3 Glossary of Training Terms The following terms will be used throughout this training program: –Field: A line on the screen into which you enter information –Value: The information (data) being entered in the field. Example: Division number, FGPO number –Click: Also “Select.” Hitting the left mouse button once. This will place your cursor into a field –Tab: Using the tab key to advance to the next input field –Return: Moves you back one screen. Will also return a selection (F2 key) –Exit: Closes the program and returns you to the menu (F3 key)

6. Page 6 RLM Main Menu Enter your company number in the Company field Enter the number of the “UPC Main Menu” option here and hit the Enter key

7. Page 7 UPC Cross-Reference File A list of styles and UPCs appears for a particular division Notice the division number listed here Press the F7 key to choose a different division

8. Page 8 Select Division Type the number of the division here and press the Enter key Note: This screen may also appear when you first enter the program

9. Page 9 Search for Style Press the F8 key to search for a style Type the style here and press the Enter key

10. Page 10 Enter Buyers UPC Number The list jumps to the first instance of the style entered Type the “real” UPC numbers here. Be sure to match the sizes correctly Press the Enter key to update. F3 to Exit
