2. September, 2004Patient Care Inquiry The Identify Patient Menu Using Options in PCI, you have the ability to customize your Identify Patient Menu, putting commonly used choices at the top of the screen.

3. September, 2004Patient Care Inquiry First, Type in “O” for Options at the Function Prompt. Steps to Customize your Menu :

4. September, 2004Patient Care Inquiry You will see your list of Options to be defined. Use your down arrow to highlight “Customize Identify Patient Menu” Use your Right Arrow to select it.

5. September, 2004Patient Care Inquiry The standard menu will appear on the left hand side. Use your down arrow to highlight the option you use most frequently to access a patient.

6. September, 2004Patient Care Inquiry Once you have your selection highlighted, type in an A to Add in the function box. Your ADDED selection will appear at the top of your Custom Menu box on the right hand side of your screen.

7. September, 2004Patient Care Inquiry Continue adding frequently used options by highlighting them and pressing A for Add. Your Custom Menu on the right will update to display your choices

8. September, 2004Patient Care Inquiry Once you have added all options your wish to, hit to File. You will be prompted with a File Box. Hit Enter to Accept the YES choice.

9. September, 2004Patient Care Inquiry When you return to your ID Patient Menu, you will see your newly Customized Menu. Note that all options you did not Add are filed to the end of your list. Your customized menu will remain unless you edit it again.

10. September, 2004Patient Care Inquiry Review of Steps: Choose O for Options on your Patient ID Menu Highlight the “Customize Identify Patient Menu” using your down arrow Select it using your right arrow.

11. September, 2004Patient Care Inquiry Continued: Highlight your most commonly used Patient ID Method using your down arrow. Add it to your Custom Menu by pressing the A to Add. Repeat this until you have added all options you want on the top of your Custom Menu.

12. September, 2004Patient Care Inquiry Filing………..F12 Hit your F12 key to File your Menu. You will be presented with a File Box. Hit Enter to accept the YES. When you exit, you will see your Customized menu. All options you did not add will be filed to the bottom. This menu will remain unless you edit it.
